The corporation shall have the following responsibilities:

  • Construction of dams, irrigation, water works, hydropower, sewerage network, water well drilling, rehabilitation, and pumping tests

  • Construction of roads, bridges, buildings, integrated drainage development, flood protection, and river diversion for different purposes.

  • Manufacture, import, sell, distribute, and rent different materials and tools necessary for the fulfillment of its objectives.

  • Issue bonds, use deposits as security, sell them, and get involved in the stock market.

  • Engage in various investment and development activities by obtaining authorization of the authority.

  • Carry out electromechanical work.
